Science :

                                  FOOD CHAINS

Objective :  To understand what is meant by a food chain.

Outcome : Able to describe and construct simple food chains.

Habitat :  A place where a particular organism can survive with ease.

Food Chain :  Flow of energy from one organism to another.

Examples :

Grass  –> Rabbit –>  Fox

Sea weed –>  Fish –>  Shark

Grass –>  Grasshopper –> Snake  –>  Lion

Predator : Animals which catch, kill, and eat other animals.

Prey :  Animals that are caught d eaten by predators.

Scavenger :  Animals that eat the flesh of dead animals.

Example :

Sea weed –>  Krill –>  Fish  –>  Whale

Mathematics :

Objective :  Interchanging Decimals and Fractions.

  • 0.07 = 7/100. ( fraction form )
  • 0.5 = 5/10 = ½
  • 2/3 =  o.667
  • 3/10000  =  0.0003
  • 400.73  −  13.46 = 38.727
  • 400.73  +  13.46  =  414.19
  • 499.345  +  0.345  =  499.690
  • 49.43  +  3.67  =  53.10
